Finally its Thurs and i am left with Econs lecture at 4pm..
Tomorrow its my official off day from school..
Haha! So happy

Just rushed back for lunch at Ursula Hall...
Had 2 lectures from 11am - 1pm
and its very cold outside! Not much sun today..
And seems like its going to rain..?
Australia hasnt really been raining at all..
very unlike Singapore which always rains..
unknowingly.. at times..
Aussie is more of a DRY country..
And thats why they have "save water" campaigns..
Everywhere is so enviro-friendly..
They sell shopping bags at almost every store
so you can reuse them for shopping..
Anyway talking about shopping...
Me, tomomi and kailin are going civic this sat..!!
I need to get a pre-paid phone card to call within aussie
and to commonwealth bank to set up my PIN number..
Wad a hassle!!
But still, its nice to enjoy and relax on a weekend..

Before i end this post, just wana say i miss my family and hugsy!
I just called home yesterday.... but only spoke to dad
And not forgetting my friends....
By the way, change of information..
I will only be back at the end of June...
Cos i got the wrong information.. sorry!
my exam period is 12th - 28th June
So... yijing.. i cant be back on the 15th already.. haha
hmmm yup.. and i will only be back for 3 weeks... sian!

Went Batemans Bay yesterday with close to 96 Ursies!
Woke up freaking early that day... 6.45am
Which is equals to 3.45am in Spore!
I am sooo getting used to the time here that when its 11pm here..
I start to feel sleepy!!! But its like only 8pm in Singapore...
I would probably sleep on my dinner when i come back spore.. haha

Anyway, we reached the beach at bout 10am
And it was really beautiful...
The sand and the water was sparkling...
And it was really cold in the water...
we dint go for any swim.. except Yoshi and wee keat..
while we were dipping out feet into the water...
a sudden huge wave just came sweeping towards us...
Nobody had the chance to run....haha...
Yoshi immediately fell into the water
and i almost fell in too!!
But only my bottom skirt and legs got wet...
Tomomi's jeans were also wet with sand!
We quickly scrambled to 'safety' and dry ourselves up
but it dint really help cos the sea breeze was strong and cold..
So we were all shivering and hair were all messy..

Had BBQ lunch with sausages and bread (tts all i eat here, practically!!)
No tom yum soup, no good sushi, no pig organ soup, nothing! =(
And they have alot of beef which i try not to eat whenever i could!
Anyway, we headed back to Ursula Hall for dinner at 2.30pm
Yah! i forgot to mention.. i watched 2 movies on the way to and back
First was Bourne Ultimatum which i have watched in spore..
but it was really good and i couldnt sleep nor
listen to my mp3 cos no batt and it was showing on the
tv screen infront of the bus so i watched it again...
The other was Batman begins..
I dint watch the movie before and while watching..
i almost fall asleep.. Actually i did..
Only to be woken up by the fighting noises.. lol..

Today (25th Feb) is my official first day of school!
My first lecture starts at 3pm (so late!) at Manning Clarke Centre
and it was a very big theatre..
I met new friends in the finance lecture..
both koreans!
Had coffee with them after that since we were released early..
And Kailin came to find me outside Manning Clarke Centre
so we went to a small supermarket outside of ANU
Bought some snacks... again.. haha... i got to stop

Anyway, thats all for today.. wil blog again if i got time..

Its a Saturday!!!!
And its always the best day throughout the week

Later i would be going shopping with tomomi & eugenie..
Yay!! Girls shopping...
At first we wanted to head for Moosehead pub after dinner..
but we are catching the movie 'StarDust' at 8pm on ANU campus
So i guess next time is still alright..
Moosehead is a public pub but many ursies loved to go there
so they have some affliations...
Think they even have a MooseheadXUrsies T-shirt!

Anyway, school is starting in 2 days time...
Haix.. must concentrate on studies already..
haha.. wish me luck wor..
and take care my frens

Eileen just smsed me saying she watched the L movie..
=( Its not showing in Aussie....
guess i have to come back spore to watch....

I'm starting a new entry from now on!
Currently missing all my frens, family...

Just an update.. i am in Australia, Canberra right now...

Had settled down in school hostel not long ago..

And i wana thank all my frens and my family for their concern!

My first day at Canberra was on 13th Feb...

And i hate taking transit flights!

The plane is very small and cramped..

Next time i am just going to take a bus from Sydney to Canberra

Anyway the bus stop for the coaches is just outside ANU!!

Haha.. and Canberra has everything i need, so next time

i dont have to bring everything here!

Oh well, lesson learnt

First night in Canberra was with my parents at Olims hotel

Its actually quite far from ANU but near Civic centre

We had dinner there at the hotel in the Thai restaurant

Food wasnt extremely good, but still edible

It seems more like a cottage hotel, very cute!

During the few days spent with my parents, we went Civic centre

Hmm a very nice and big shopping centre

And the only stores which i saw so far that Singapore has are..
1) Body Shop

2) Esprit

3) Gloria Jeans

4) Starbucks
5) Borders

6) Novo

7) Paris Miki (suprisingly)

8) GUESS

9) Fast food like KFC, Mac

And i think that's about it... haha..

Most of the shops here are not found in Spore...

Especially clothing stores

Anyway, their supermarkets are really big...

Similar to Carrefour in Spore...
They have Big W, Target, SupaBarn..etc..

For lunch we had them at the foodcourt...

I havent really tried it.. and their menu doesnt seem nice..

Hmm and we went walking around and shop alittle..

And on the 14th, we went to ANU for Orientation

Also to Commonwealth bank to open a bank account..

Checked into Ursula Hall in ANU on the 15th Feb

Met many new students.. some are from Singapore..

And one is from Japan.. a girl called Tomomi

Finally i can practise my Jap in Aussie hee
And there is a mixed Jap/Southeast asian guy called Yoshi

And total 2 floors each...

I am in B2 and room 12.. so my room is B212

On Tues, Yoshi brought me, tomomi and wee keat around Civic
He is really very gentleman...

He treated the girls to Starbucks and when we bot our chips

and cup noddles, he help us pay too!

We insisted on returning him but he say its okie

So nice!

And the people like Christina, Sarah, Majellah, Tom.. etc..

All very friendly and nice...

Anyway, we walked around and saw this pet shop

I snapped a picture of one of the puppy
Me and tomomi will scream "Kawaii ne"

Back to Ursula Hall, my parents left for Sydney on the 16th

While i have to learn to be independent...

And Trina (sporean) taught me how to do laundry

Its pretty easy actually... yea

There are 21 meals a week at the dining room

And its more or less different food everyday

But the food here is not exactly very nice

Especially their rice... its practically tasteless

I only like their morning breakfast which usually has scrambled eggs

but its a little tasteless too.. so i have to add more salt

And the hashbrowns are nice

Other than that, i will try to take smaller portions of each food

And then every time i go to the supermarket

I will buy snacks... lots of them

I have got biscuits, cup noodles, chocolates....etc..

So i am really going to get fat.... soon...

Anyway, i am gonna stop here...
